Happy Sunday + Happy New Year, too! I know it’s been a while since a new DARLA post has been published. As EIC, I’ve been real focused on my health and nurturing my wealth of knowledge. During this time of thorough self-care and a lil grind I’ve published a poetry book, joined a dance class that focuses on balancing energy flow, worked with some inspiring creators, created an E-book of 21 plant-based recipes, curated some playlists, and read lots of books (naturally) — all of which I’ll be sharing details on, later… But what I’m thrilled to tell you about today is how I’ve been drinking HELLA celery juice.

Why I Drink Celery Juice Every Day

Last year I was introduced to the work of Medical Medium — a light worker who receives advanced information about healing from Spirit. Making Celery Juice

  1. Take one bunch of celery and cut off any rough ends, then chop off the base the bunch.

  2. Rinse and clean each stalk thoroughly.

  3. Run entire bunch through the juicer, one stalk at a time.

  4. Strain. (I really can’t tolerate drinking the pulp, so I usually strain mine 3 to 4 times.)

  5. Drink immediately!

  6. Wait 15 minutes before consuming food and other beverages… But definitely make sure to eat something. Celery juice alone isn’t enough food/fluid for us to start off the day.

One full bunch of celery makes 16 oz. of celery juice for me, sometimes a little more or less. Whatever it produces, I drink the entire thing.

Celery Juice F.A.Q.’s

Does celery juice taste good?
To me, personally, absolutely not (lol). But I know how great it makes me feel so it’s worth pushing through. I just try to drink it real fast and talk myself through it like, “Yes. I love celery juice and celery juice loves me. It’s healing my body! Right now as I’m drinking it! It’s making me glow! I’m reaching Rihanna levels. I’m charging up with all this green energy. Heart chakra hella clear. #Goddess.” — That internal pep talk usually works.

What kind of juicer do you have?
I use an Aicook Slow Masticating Juicer + sometimes a Mooka Juicer. They both work well. No matter which brand you choose, just make sure it’s a slow juicer so that the machine won’t heat and kill any of the nutrients during the juicing process.

Can I mix celery with other fruit or vegetables to make the juice?
To get the full healing benefits, you need to drink 16 oz. of pure celery juice. No mixing in fruit. No adding supplements. No diluting with water. Nothing else but straight celery. I know, the taste takes some time getting used to… But it’s worth it.

Can I make all my celery juices for the week at once?
This is something you need to do every morning/day, so that you can consume it fresh. That’s the only way to ensure that the celery juice can do its job to the best of its ability.

Why do I have to drink celery juice on an empty stomach?
By drinking it first thing in the morning on an empty stomach, celery juice can heal and cleanse what it needs to without interference. It can also strengthen your digestion of the foods you eat throughout the day.

Can I just eat the celery every day instead of juicing it?
Eating celery is cool and healthy… But consuming the pure celery juice processes differently in the body. When the celery is juiced, it becomes much more powerful and effective; especially for someone with chronic illness.
